Thank You Venice!

Dear Friends,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Because of you – this campaign has been an extraordinary, rewarding experience for me.

I am in awe of the support I received from so many people. You kept at tedious and difficult tasks, opened your wallets and homes to me and introduced me to your friends and neighbors. Your enthusiasm and dedication to my campaign to preserve the paradise we live in and restore trust in our local government inspired me to keep going. And for that, I thank you.

We stood up as a community and demanded better representation of neighborhoods and a more civil approach to our politics. I am proud to have won every precinct in the city and I promise to be out there in every precinct and to represent every precinct at council meetings.

Let’s continue to demand that candidates sign pledges to run clean campaigns, to stick to the issues and not to accept money and help from outside groups trying to change the fabric of our well-planned city.

I pledge to honor the John Nolen Plan as the city grows and I will fight to ensure overdevelopment doesn’t threaten our quality of life. We can preserve the natural beauty of this area and the historic charm that makes Venice special.

Your votes in this year’s election have made it clear this is what you want, and my job now is to fight that battle for you.
